About Us

The mission of the Household Hazardous Waste Council is to promote the education of legislative personnel and the general public in the Carolinas on the benefits to be gained from the minimization, proper storage, handling, transportation and disposal of hazardous materials found in the home that would, under normal circumstances, be destined for a municipal landfill, sanitary sewer and/or waste-to-energy plant.

We generally meet the second Wednesday of every month and have a work plan that outlines our goals for the year (.pdf). During the month of March, we will have a meeting as part of the CRA conference.
